WALTER GULAY February 5, 1928 - February 3, 2013 Peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2013, Walter Gulay, of Keremeos, BC passed away at his home. Walter was born on February 5, 1928 in Sylvan, MB to a family of nine children. He attended school in Sylvan, MB. Walter farmed in Sylvan. In 1948 Walter obtained his pilot's license in Mission, BC, Walter obtained his commercial license at the Winnipeg Flying Club. Walter then flew for numerous airlines including Northland, Ilford, Riverton Airways and Plummer Lodges in the Arctic. Walter was predeceased by his parents Mike and Mary; sisters: Ann, Olga Chyzzy, Joan Magnusson; brothers: Walter, Andrew, Alex and Joe, and sister-in-law Judy. Surviving are his brothers Mike (Hazel) and Arnie (Marie), sisters-in-law Pauline, Irene, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Sylvan Public Cemetery with his family and friends at a later date.
