Date of Passing: Feb 14, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD ANNABLE October 21, 1928 - February 14, 2013 When unforeseen health issues added to his already failing health Lloyd went peacefully to his Heavenly home, in the early morning hours of February 14, 2013, with his daughter by his side. There to greet Lloyd were his parents, Margaret and Claude, sister Joan, brother Frank, stepmother Elsie, mother and father-in-law Irene and Mike, and brother-in-law Bert. Left to cherish his memory are Bertha, wife of 53 years, sons Gary (Michelle) and Doug, daughter Sandra (Mark), grandson Harris, sister Doreen, sister-in-law Esther, brother-in-law Sandy, sisters-in-law Deanna (Bob) and Betty and stepsister Laraine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He spent his entire working life with CP Rail, starting as a mail clerk at the age of 16 then moving into various sales positions, including District Manager of Freight Sales in Brandon, until retiring in 1987. This took his family from Winnipeg to Saskatoon, Brandon and back to Winnipeg through the years. Lloyd loved golfing in the summer throughout his adult life; right up until his knees began to fail in his late 70s. In addition to golfing, Lloyd's retirement included gardening, working out and playing cribbage with the Road Runners seniors group at Elmwood/EK YMCA and Dairy Queen in the summertime, and regular visits to Tim Hortons year round. Heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers; long-time physician Dr. Ismail Mohammed, Concordia Hospital N1, Holy Family Home 3A for the past 13 months, and the last few days of his life at Seven Oaks Hospital. Memorial service will be held Monday, February 25 at St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster St. at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society or a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated. May you find comfort in the hands of angels.

Really enjoyed working with Lloyd in Saskatoon. Very good memories and really enjoyed his sense of humor. - Posted by: Adam Bertrand (Friend & co-Worker) on: Feb 26, 2013

I worked with Lloyd at CPR, both in Saskatoon and Winnipeg and enjoyed his wry sense of humour. I also saw Lloyd frequently on his daily walks around Rossmere Golf Course where he always had a smile. My sympathy to the family. - Posted by: John Falk (Work associate and friend.) on: Feb 23, 2013
