PATSY GRACE ADDIS BROWN Born on April 19, 1949, and passed on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Patsy was born at the Grace Hospital, the third child of Thomas and Ardis Addis. Patsy was predeceased by her father Thomas Addis and sister-in-law Margot Addis. Patsy is lovingly reremembered by her husband Melvin Brown, her daughter Beth (Adam), her mother Ardis, her brother Tom (Eileen), brother Donald, sister Virginia (Bill), stepson Scott and granddaughter Taryn, as well as her best friend Dianne. Many nieces and nephews will miss their aunt. Patsy worked for many years for various government departments, her final years with The Children's Advocate Office. She also ran two successful businesses, Potions Plus and Crystal Connections. Patsy enjoyed going to the lake to relax and read. Special thanks to George Addis for making the urn. Thanks to the staff on the fifth floor of the Women's Hospital for taking such good care of Patsy. Patsy has been cremated and a Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
