Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARDINA BEADA VAN DYK After a long and full life, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Gerardina Beada van Dyk, on February 17, 2013 at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 95 years. Diane or Gerri, as she was called in Canada, was born on June 11, 1917 in Hilversum, the Netherlands, the only daughter of Albertus Hermanus Bres and Gerritje Huibregtse. She married Cornelis van Dyk on October 9, 1943. In 1954, the family immigrated to Canada with their three young children and settled in Winnipeg. Gerardina was predeceased by her husband Cornelis (1993), son Albert Herman (Birdie) (2011), grandsons Richard John (1999) and Corrie Rodney (1992) van Dyk. She is survived by a daughter Gerri, son Corrie (Heather), daughter-in-law Pamela van Dyk Daniels, grandchildren Caroline, Michael and Terry van Dyk, great-grandchildren Justin and Jeremy and a brother J. Bres in Hilversum, the Netherlands. The family would like to thank homecare workers Eleanor and Shelly for the exceptional care they gave our mom. Cremation has taken place. So sorry about the loss of "Mom". We all only have one Mom and she is very special. Even though I didn't know her you are not alone in your loss.
