Sheldon was a friend and colleague of my father, Les Leitch, who worked at IBM in Winnipeg with Sheldon. Sheldon and Doreen spent many evenings at our home in Winnipeg when I was a teenager, listening to classical music with my parents on " hi if" as it was called then. I remember them as somewhat on the fringe at that time in the early 1960's, since Sheldon drove a Volvo which was unusual at that time and Doreen smoked a small pipe. At that time, Sheldon was taking engineering at the U of Manitoba, while also working at IBM. My Dad was always impressed. with his intelligence as I recall. My belated condolences to the family. Our sympathy goes to all relatives of Sheldon. I know him from his time with IBM in Winnipeg and I shared some fun time with him as a camera armed duck hunter. Sheldon liked to have fun and his humor was infectious when it was story telling time. Sheldon, I missed you as soon as you moved away from Winnipeg. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Helga & Wolfgang Oertel (Friend and Colleague) on: Feb 24, 2013
