Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryILONA VERONICA BRASSEUR (nee SUTCH) December 22, 1951 - February 23, 2013 In the early morning of February 23, 2013, Ilona peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home at the age of 61. She was predeceased by her parents Ernie and Frances. She is survived by her loving husband Norm, her dear son Jason, her daughter-in-law Ines, her grandchildren Kayla and Chloe, and two step-daughters and their families. Ilona was born and raised in Winnipeg. She moved to Swift Current, SK with her husband where they owned and ran a restaurant franchise. Many years later they returned back to Winnipeg to be close to family. They later became caretakers of an apartment building for several years before retiring. The family would like to thank her best friend and schoolmate Bea Letkeman and her husband Jake for all their support and love over the years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Charleswood Red River Masonic Temple, 4289 Ridgewood Ave.

Ilona..We attended your memorial service today..It was a lovely and touching event. So much of your warmth and humor was talked about..Bea gave an outstanding tribute and Norm shared a funny event..and your son and daughter-in-law gave a very well presented record of your life...We will miss you..Rest In Peace dear friend..and the cheeze incident will remain one of our fondest memories of you..
