He enlisted in the RCAF in 1943, and proudly served overseas in England until his discharge in 1945. After the war, Dad became a husband, father and enjoyed a 40 year career as a Draughtsman. Almost half of his life was spent in Winnipeg, until 1964 when he moved his young family to Surrey, B.C. Dad loved big band music, playing cribbage, reading, and golf...especially golf; as an avid golfer he played well into his late 70s. He had a big voice, a big sense of humour and almost always had a smile on his face. His was a life well-lived. We love you Dad and will never forget you. I remember house parties with the Kavalecs at our home and the many great laughs they all had....Ralph and June Anderson....Bob FitzCharles and my Mom and Dad (Marg and Carse) and others from Dominion Bridge. I know my Dad loved to golf and that he and Stan had many a good time on various courses...When Mom passed away in January also at age 89...Gordie and I found a lot of wonderful pictures of this bunch of buddies. So sorry to hear of you family's loss. - Posted by: Eileen Findlay (nee Gregg) (Daughter of Carson and Margaret Gregg who were very good friends with both Stan and Pat.) on: Mar 04, 2013
