Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDON EMERSON RICHES With sadness the family announces the passing of Don Emerson Riches at his home in Gladstone, Manitoba on March 4, 2013. Don was the only child of Arthur and Ethel Riches (Williams). He received his education at Blake School in the Ogilvie District. Don loved farming, that's where he was the happiest. He loved his cattle and even had names for each of them. He welcomed spring and the new farming season. He moved into the town of Gladstone in 2000 and was actively involved in the Third Crossing Agricultural Museum for many years. Don had a great memory and loved telling stories. He was a walking, talking Farmers' Almanac. Don had many friends. He will be missed by cousins Cal Jones and Vern Williams of British Columbia, and Eileen Milne of Winnipeg, and their families, as well as many friends and kind neighbours. A funeral was held on Saturday, March 9 in Gladstone with Lynne Sanderson officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Gladstone Library, or any charity of your choice.
