GERALD JOSEPH BRISSON September 3, 1937 - January 16, 2013 In Loving Memory It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Brisson. He passed away peacefully at his home in Mesa, Arizona on the morning of January 16, 2013. Born in St. Boniface, he grew up passionately pursuing hockey, baseball and football. He enjoyed an 11 year career as a professional hockey player in the Montreal Canadiens organization and later turned his energy to coaching, management and eventually ownership of the Winnipeg Junior Jets / Calgary Wranglers W.C.H.L. franchise. He had a keen entrepreneurial spirit and owned and built a number of businesses across Western Canada while continuing to take every opportunity to be involved in sports. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Celebration of Gerry's Life will be held in the Ambassador's Suite at Canad Inns, 1824 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. • My condolences to the Brisson family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Even though Gerry and I didn't see eye to eye as my coach and GM. He came into my office 25 years later and made amends. Since that day forward I have the greatest respect for him as a man. And of course Gerry had the best one liners. Rest in Peace!
