Condolences & Memories (18 entries)

  • Mrs. Rose Cameron was my teacher for English (although I think they called it "Language Arts" at the time) and science in Grade 5, '83-'84 at Robert Andrews Junior High. She was definitely one of my favorite teachers, and I looked forward to her classes. She definitely loved teaching young kids, and that was certainly evident. The other guest book comments certainly describe the Rose Cameron I remember. Even though It's been 30 years now, the memory of her zeal, enthusiasm and kindness stays with me to this day. I am sure that all that knew her over the years would have felt blessed to have her in their lives. I'd like to express my sincere condolences to her family and friends for their loss. There are certain people that, although you may lose contact with them, it gives you a good feeling to know they're still around enriching the lives of others and living a good life. Although, unfortunate as it is, everyone's time comes to an end, we can be grateful for the lasting memories they've left us. - Posted by: Steven Kretschmann (Former Student) on: Aug 03, 2013

  • Cam, Darcey and Myles…..I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Rose. I was very young when my Nan and Rose became very good friends. There was always an invitation to her pool in the summer…many get togethers with her and Myles and my Nan and I…or she would call up my Nan and say “put on the coffee, I’m riding my bike to your place”. Her energy and kindness was never ending. I’m sure she is having coffee with my Nan and Gramps now. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Love Debbie, Rob, Josh, Sarah and Logan. - Posted by: Debbie and Rob Kowal (long time friends of the family) on: Mar 19, 2013

  • I'm so sorry for your loss Mr. Cameron, Darcy and Miles. Your Mom was an exceptional, intelligent, strong willed, independent and such a friendly woman. I always enjoyed seeing your Mom growing up. She always had interesting things to say. I loved coming over for swims, your Mom was so hospitable and she always made you feel so welcome. I was deeply touched how your Dad and Mom came to drop off a fruit basket after I had a surgery, I was so deeply grateful of their thoughtfulness. She was a good friend of my Mom and Mom always had wonderful things to say about your Mom and their visits. I pray that God bless you and envelope your hearts with peace and comfort at this time. May your wonderful memories, funny stories and sharing what an amazing woman your Mom was be a source of comfort to you all.
