PAMELA VAN RAES
Born: Nov 26, 1946
Date of Passing: Mar 05, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAMELA VAN RAES November 26, 1946 - March 5, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pamela Van Raes, at the age of 66, in Nanaimo, BC. Pamela is survived by her husband Alan Reimer; her daughter Michelle (Lincoln), grandsons Brennan and Hudson; her son Craig (Jessica), and her sister Cheryl (Gerry). Pam was born to Gloria (Du Quesnay) and Emile Van Raes, in St. Boniface, Manitoba. Wherever Pam made her home, it was always alive with family and friends from near and far. She cultivated deep relationships and unconditionally embraced them into her own family. Regretfully, she finally succumbed to heart disease and passed away after exhausting all of the medical options. A memorial will be held on March 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Retreat Centre in Nanaimo. We will never forget her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I did not know you well as our paths were distinctly separate. In my opinion, you were one of the most thought provoking people I have ever met. Your insight into the human condition made me question my values for the better. Your passing has left me feeling like a part is now missing. With tears in my eyes, a lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach, I love you Pam. I will always regret not having the courage to know you better. - Posted by: David Van Raes (Bother) on: Sep 24, 2014

Sorry to hear of Peppy's passing. I lived across the back lane from Shelley and her big sister and have fond memories of her as a child. - Posted by: Carole Sinnott (nee McKay) (child hood friend) on: Apr 14, 2013

I was deeply saddened to have been informed of Pamela's passing, only 2 days after having had the most wonderful uplifting and encouraging conversation with her over the phone. I will certainly miss her "joie de vivre". My deepest sympathies go out to her husband Alan, her children Michelle and Craig, her sister Shelley and her dear friend Doris. - Posted by: Laraine St-Hilaire (former classmate and good friend) on: Mar 21, 2013

I have such fond memories of Pam and Shelly during our growing up years. My fondest memories of Pam were during my coming of age years when Pam and my sister Pat provided Shelly and I with invaluable advice as we became women. Just last week I met a new friend, Lorette Beaudry Ferland, who I quickly found out was a friend of Pam's and also had wonderful memories of Pamela. - Posted by: Cotinne Martin (nee Van Raes) (cousin) on: Mar 16, 2013
