PETER FRIESEN Peter passed away peacefully on March 8, 2013, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marlene, son Mark (Kim), daughter Laura (Jon), and grandchildren Brayden and Carter. He is also survived by his brothers Dan, Henry and John, his sisters Mary, Helen, Ann, Liz, Esther, Martha, Hannah and Ruth, and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his parents Sara and Martin Friesen, and his siblings Jacob, Katherine, Diedrich, Sarah and Cornelius. Dad was a humble man with great integrity and work ethic. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who have so many great memories of their grandpa. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Czaykowski, Dr. Ong and their staff at CancerCare Manitoba. In accordance with Peter's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. A celebration of his life will take place with family and friends. If friends so desire, donations in Peter's memory made be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
