LLOYD PETERS (YELLOWQUILL) January 20, 1933 - March 16, 2013 Following a lengthy illness, on March 16, 2013, dad passed on at the age of 80. Predeceased by his parents, Donald Peters and Louise Yellowquill; sisters Isabel Cameron, Eva Peters, Kathy Peters and Molly Peters; daughters Ella McIvor and Myrna McIvor; granddaughter Vanity Peters; nephews Barry Peters and Larry Peters; Nora McIvor, and a special friend Nora Peters. Dad spent the last 10 years of his life in the George Guimond Care Home in Pine Falls. When he was younger he worked on the railway, in the mines, and spent time working at the Dew Line. He got his education at a Residential School in Brandon. Dad loved singing country songs and playing guitar, and loved doing crossword puzzles and eating his bannock. Dad leaves to mourn his passing his sisters, May Peters, Mary-Jane Peters; brothers, Frank Peters and Morris Peters; his sons, Larry McIvor, Randy McIvor, Aaron Peters (Angela); his daughters, Cindy McIvor, Molly Peters, Lana Peters (Ed), and many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A traditional wake will be held at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Thursday, March 21, 2013 starting at 4:00 p.m. A Christian service will be held in the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Eulogy will be given by Aaron Peters and Pallbearers will be: Alexander Gale, Wayne Peters, Marlon Ryder, Victor Peters, David Peters, and Albert Peters. Interment will follow in Yellowquill Cemetery.
