NINA MAZUREK May 25, 1940 March 23, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nina Mazurek, our much loved sister and aunt at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. We are so thankful that her entire family was with her during this devastating time. She was predeceased by her parents, Egnat and Helen Mazurek and nephew Douglas Ralke. Nina will be sadly missed by her sister, Jean (Ralph), nephew Larry (Shirley), niece Janice, sister Vera (Fred), nephew Robert (Terry), great-nieces Sara (Ian), Robin, Aime, great- nephews, Dylan, Cory and Ryan, great-great- niece Taylor and great-great-nephew Epic. After retirement she was young enough to continue working part time at the Relay Store in the old Airport and Duty Free at the New Airport. She loved all her jobs, but especially the people she met and worked with. Nina will be remembered for loyalty to her long list of friends whom she has known for a long time. Nina travelled far and wide to Russia, Jamaica, Barbados, Cuba, Hawaii, Florida, Mexico, Arizona, New York, Surrey, BC, even Gimli, MB. • I worked with Nina at MTS many (well not that many), years ago. Although I no longer work for MTS or live in Canada, I occasionally ran into Nina when my husband and I flew out of Winnipeg. She was always so bright and bubbly, just a warm and loving person. She also knew my dad Eric Powell, from MTS. There are a great many people who will miss her, I am just one of them. RIP Nina. - Posted by: Gaynor Henry (nee Powell) (Co-worker at MTS) on: Mar 31, 2013

  • I will always cherish the time working with Nina. I've known her ever since she started in the airport. I will miss her laugh, and zest for life. Will miss her smile while talking about her winter trips with her family. She will always be remembered. I will remember the garlic sausage and cinnamon buns she would bring in.
