Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLOTTE MARGARET FRIESEN (nee THIESSEN) Charlotte Margaret Friesen was born on October 3, 1939, in Steinbach, MB. She was the only daughter, along with her four brothers, of Carl and Nettie Thiessen. Charlotte married Edward Friesen on July 23, 1960 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July 2010. Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Debra (Dean) Jennings, and Donna Friesen (Kevin Smith), and by her beloved grandsons, Brian Martin Payjack, and Mitchel Dean Jennings. She we predeceased by her husband Edward Friesen in 2010, her brother Rod Thiessen in 1989, and her grandson Scott Adam Payjack in 1997. Charlotte started working as an operator for MTS in 1958, and except for a five year absence to have her children, she continued to work for MTS until her retirement in 1993. Ed and Charlotte loved to camp and travel and they spent many summers at Big Whiteshell Lake and travelling throughout Canada and the United States. Charlotte was a shy, quiet person who faced her difficulties and challenges with courage and strength. She passed away quietly on March 20, 2013, after a very short hospitalization. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
