Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHELMA CROLL (MARKOFF) January 4, 1926 - March 4, 2013 Predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 1990, parents Nathan and Florence Markoff, sister, and brother-in-law Ruth and Ben Shore. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Gary (Joanne), Ted (Suzanne) and grandchildren Rebecca (Paul) and Daniel (Larissa), sister-in-law Merle Spector, nieces and nephews Terri-Mae and Gary, Wayne, Paula, Joel ( Jenn), David, Savanna, Farren, and Julia, Ben and Noah. Thelma was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a kind, generous and thoughtful person who lived a righteous life. Thelma was born and raised in Winnipeg and lived there until she met and married Kenny in 1949 and moved to Yorkton to raise their sons and operate Croll's Ltd. After Kenny passed away, Thelma moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to her family and rekindled old friendships that she had as a young girl. Thelma had a special relationship with her sister-in-law and best friend Merle. She remained an avid bridge player and loved her bridge groups. Funeral services were held March 6, 2013 at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue interment at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Croll, Gary, Joel and David Wolodarsky, Paul Bashara and Murray Knazan. Honorary pallbearer Wayne Spector. Tybie will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Donations in Thelma's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
