CINDY LESSARD (LAPUSNIAK)
Born: Feb 07, 1965
Date of Passing: Mar 19, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCINDY LESSARD (nee LAPUSNIAK) Cindy Lessard, beloved wife of Jean Lessard, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Carberry, at the young age of 48, following a brief battle with lung cancer. It was Cindy's profound wish that she be at home with Jean when the time came, and it was through their unfailing love and support for one another, along with the much appreciated help of numerous family, friends, coworkers, and medical professionals, that this was possible. Cindy was born February 7, 1965 to Pete and Jeanette Lapusniak, and lived till her early teens on a farm in Piney. The family later moved to Winnipeg, where Cindy attended Glenlawn Collegiate and Pierre Radison School. Along with Jean and her parents, Cindy will be sadly missed by her brother Ken (Stephanie and son Caleb), sister Gloria Bonne, niece Amanda Bonne (Josh), great-niece Ava, nephew Gage Bonne (Alyse) and Jean's children Jenna (and daughter Jordanna), Brittney (Sean) and Taylor Lessard. Cindy is predeceased by Jenna's husband, Dale Jerome. Jean's brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews also deeply mourn her loss. Based on the numerous emails received, Cindy was a much appreciated and integral part of the Winnipeg Taxation Centre team, where she worked for 20 years, and more recently, Agriculture Canada's Research Centre in Brandon. Friends, family and coworkers alike knew Cindy for her brilliant smile, fun and laughter, intelligent thoughtfulness, roll up the sleeves and caring attitude, her ability to help others in times of need, and her great love of the long hug! Cindy also loved crocheting afghans, reading, music, dancing, children, painting her own nails, making brown sugar candy (sucre a la crème) and vinatarta, camping and the outdoors; but mostly she just loved life. A memorial service for Cindy will take place at the Seine River Banquet Centre in St. Anne, Manitoba on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a donation to The United Way Cindy's favourite charity to which she contributed and helped with campaigns, both at home and at work over a number of years. Cindy was one of my mom's best friends. I have many fond memories of her throughout my life. I remember those long hugs and the latest nail design. Mostly I remember her smile and her caring ways. Thank you for being a part of our lives, Cindy. It came as such a shock to find out that you have gone but please know that you will never be forgotten. Auntie Cindy was like a second mother to me. She taught me many things and values in life which made me the woman/mother I am today. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her. She loved doing my hair as a kid and helping with anything I needed. She always did my nails when I visited and was there no matter what. I feel so empty now that she's gone but I know she is always watching over. Love and miss you so much xoxoxo your sweet heart - Posted by: Amanda Bonne (niece ) on: Mar 31, 2013

I knew cindy mostly when I was much younger through my cousin les. I hadnt seen her for many many years and I had grown some, we seen each other at the beer gardens during a softball tourney she walked over and gave me a big hug and asked how I was doing, and we talked about our lives. We would continue to see eachother and talk when we ran into eachother at ball. Her big smile and warn hugs will be miss.
