ADELINE (HELEN) BRAUN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Adeline (Helen) Braun on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Riverview Health Centre at age 92. She leaves to mourn, her daughter Corliss (Larry), son Grant (Murielle) and grandchildren Paul (Michelle), Rachel (Todd), Anton (Jennifer) and Chelsea, also great-grandchildren Luke, Mark, Eric, Violet, Jasper, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Karl, and all of her siblings. She was born in the Steinbach area, farmed at Rosenfeld, moved to Winnipeg and became a real estate agent. This was her greatest success and joy. She enjoyed her family life especially at the cottage. Her chocolate pie was legendary. Funeral services will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church at 200 Dalhousie, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will occur at Chapel Lawn following a reception at the church. The family would like to thank the staff of CD-1 at Riverview for their compassionate care. Donations to her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Please accept our heart felt sympathies at this time of loss. Lena was a very kind soul. - Posted by: Vic, Eric & Jane Durand (Family ) on: Apr 02, 2013

  • Helen was my neighbour for close to 40 years. Even though we lived across the street from each other, we conveyed in writing, personal greetings via cards left in each others mailboxes. Helen was a sociable, outgoing lady. Over the years we had many visits and laughs, as well as meaningful conversations. I will remember her as a good neighbour, engaging and endearing. May she rest in peace! - Posted by: Frances Chinchilla (Former neighbour) on: Apr 02, 2013

  • Her "BobOLink" reminisces fondly on all those wonderful times spent @ The Braun's home playing Make A Million...and the fellowship & laughs over countless cups of good coffee & meals! Mrs. Braun's oft said phrase of "Greatnik" followed by her unique lilt in her laugh, as well as her Christian kindness... will never be forgotten by me. She treated me as her adopted son, ever since my high school friendship with Grant (my best friend & fishing buddy),began in 1968!! Well done faithful servant...who now resides in my Father's mansion....awaiting the day of the Final Resurrection!! - Posted by: Robert S. Kitlar (BobOLink) (Friend of the family) on: Apr 02, 2013
