JOSEPH (JOE) KOSHELANYK Joseph (Joe) Koshelanyk of Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 9:58 p.m. at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga after a short bout with pneumonia. Born in Caliento, Manitoba, on January 9, 1925 to Joseph Koshelanyk and Helena Halabij, Joe married his late wife Bella on November 8, 1947. They moved to Toronto in the late 1940s, where Joe worked as a maintenance man for Via Rail until his retirement in 1990 after 42 years of service. Joe will be remembered as a gentle, kind and thoughtful man who was respected and loved by everyone he knew. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, most of all watching baseball and hockey with his son, Robert. Joe is survived by his son Robert, daughter-in-law Marina and countless extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vita Funeral Home in Vita, Manitoba with interment at the St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Caliento, Manitoba to follow.
