My Uncle Les was just the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. He was very kind hearted, intelligent, thoughtful, hard working and good willed. I have only good memories of my uncle, he was always dressed immaculately and could always make me laugh! He had a lot of wisdom but was never one to have an ego to go along with it, Uncle Les just seemed to enjoy what he was doing no matter what and never seemed to do anything half heartedly. I could go on and on of what a great, funny and genuine man I thought my uncle was.. I really looked up to him and only wish through my growing up I could have spent more time with him. I think his time here was cut short, and I really hope that he knew just how much respect and admiration I had for him as he was someone I wanted to turn out to be. Uncle Les was just a good spirit who seemed to really love his life and those who were in it. You will alwasy be in my heart Uncle.. - Posted by: David Nicholson (Nephew) on: Oct 09, 2013

I knew Les from his work from Omniterm in Toronto. We traveled together several times on technical installations across Canada. He was a pleasure to spend time with and he provided me with many interesting facts and stories about the various places we visited. He will be missed. - Posted by: Steve Owen (Friend & former work associate) on: Apr 14, 2013

We first starting worked together at Bloor St. in Toronto about 1970. We went in different directions, in our separate worlds, and then sometimes together. It's hard to find words that express how sad it's been to hear about Les. He was such a special person; humble, soft-spoken, technically proficient, and always a family guy. He was a typical solid Saskatchewan person. He will always be remembered. To Dot and family, our heartfelt sympathy and blessings. - Posted by: Ed and Rae Coman (co-worker and life-time friends) on: Apr 09, 2013

I always appreciated his integrity and I'll never forget that distinctive twinkle in his eyes. My deepest sympathy to his family. - Posted by: Kris Stover (Friend, Co-worker) on: Apr 09, 2013

I'm sorry that Les was taken away so suddenly and unexpectedly from his loved ones on Good Friday. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to get to know him, nor introduce him to his step-grandson Austin. A friend commented: "his father must have been a good man to have a son like Darryl", I agree. Rest in peace Les. - Posted by: Ethelyn David () on: Apr 08, 2013

An honest man and a great and constant friend and co-worker for over 40 year, Les' dedication and hard work contributed to the early success of Air Canada C&SS Branch and subsequently, the Gemini Group. His steadfastness and love for his wife and family was an inspiration for everyone that knew him. He enriched my life and those of many others. - Posted by: Robert Wayne Holmes (Friend) on: Apr 06, 2013

As a young lad starting out in the Telecommunications industry, Les gave me my first big break. Les hired me at AC/The Gemini Group where he knew we worked hard but gave us the latitiude to play hard. He smiled often, made us laugh and laughed with us. My heart goes out to Dorothy, whom I met prior to Les at The Bay while working at the computer store, and the family. Please find comfort in knowing Les touched many lives in a very positive way. I feel blessed to have known him. - Posted by: Mike Hall (Employee, Friend ) on: Apr 06, 2013
