Date of Passing: Mar 30, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD HEMMING It is with deep sorrow we must announce the passing of Clifford Hemming on March 30, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Clifford was one of 13 children born on January 13, 1924 on the family farm in Grove Park, Saskatchewan (New Finland). He has been predeceased by his parents, Micheal and Saima Hemming, his companion, Rita and siblings Clarence, Martha, Winnie, Phyllis, Alvin, Arnold, Effie and Gerry. He is survived by, and will be missed by, his daughter, Shelley Demski (John) and siblings George, Dorothy, Donald and Hazel. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Clifford had a lifetime career with Watkins Products and was proud of his position within the company. He enjoyed his work and retired after serving 47 years. In 2004 Clifford moved to his daughter's and son-in-law's home in Springfield where he remained until his passing. He was able to enjoy many activities in the community and participated in golf cart rides, bonfires, snowmobiling, quiet walks and adventures at the cottage. His daily companion was his Yorkshire terrier, Punky, who made him smile every day. In Clifford's eyes, Punky could never do any wrong. Clifford will always be remembered in our hearts as a gentle, soft spoken man of few words. Recognition is due to the caring staff at Health Sciences Centre and the NEHA Home Care Program. The family is grateful for your support. As Clifford had wished, he will be returning to his birthplace in New Finland for interment to join his family at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Burial will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
