LANA MARIE MEYER May 25, 1959 March 28, 2013 In loving memory of Lana Marie Meyer. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lana, our much loved sister, auntie and friend. After a brief battle with cancer, Lana passed away peacefully with family by her side at Riverview Health Centre. Lana was predeceased by her parents Marvin (1974) and Ollie (2011). Lana will be missed by her sister Michele (Ken); brother Rick (Margaret); nieces Chelsey (David), Samantha, Charla (Doug) and Breanne (Jason); nephews Richard, John, Zack, and Justin; and great nieces and nephews Isaiah, Lucas, Jacob, Caleb, Renee and Ava and one on the way. Lana loved sports; baseball, curling and golf, and never missed taking her nephew to a sporting event! Lana loved to travel, whether it be to her trailer at Oftys campground, to Alaska for work, or to Mexico with her friends! Lana will be missed by her co-workers at Northwest, her friends and teammates. We would like to thank everyone at Cancer Care for their support, and the staff at Riverview for the great work they do! Funeral service will be held Friday April 5, 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Condolences & Memories (18 entries)

  • I was deeply sorry to hear recently of Lana's passing. The last conversation I had with Lana she revealed to me her battle with cancer. As the years go by one loses contact with all the old gang and regrettably I missed the service. Lana was as competitive as it gets. She possessed a bubbly, positive attitude and was a true friend. Hopefully we can all rock the house again somewhere and somehow. Love always, Tom Carrick The Okanagan, BC - Posted by: Tom Carrick (Friend) on: Sep 23, 2017
