JENNIE (JEAN) KOMONKO (nee ROGOWSKY) Peacefully on April 1, 2013, Jean Komonko, formerly of Meleb, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 93 at the Middlechurch Home. Surviving are her sons; Wally (Mary), Ronald (Darlene) brother Nestor (Ann); grandchildren Kenneth (Karen), Darren (Michelle), Perry (Lynda), Darrell (Marek), Brian (Barry), and Shelley; great-grandchildren Kirsten, Serena and Kassidy; sister-in-law Jean Boulet. Predeceased by her husband Michael; daughter Lucille Penziwol and son-in-law John; granddaughter Cheryl Komonko; sisters Tillie Rosolowich, Elsie Brown and brother Gerald. Funeral service will be held at Teulon MacKenzie Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 6, 10.00 a.m. Father Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow, at the Meleb Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff and nurses on Ward B2 for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg or Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon Manitoba.

I had the pleasure caring for Jean in the care home. She always had a smile on her face, and could cheer you up just with a hug. She will be missed alot. Auntie Jean was a sweet soul who was always with a smile and had a kind heart and never said anything bad or negative of anyone. You could always feel her kindness and loving nature and she was truly genuine. She treated everyone she approached with an open heart...we will miss you Aunt Jean but you will never be forgotten...
