I was very saddened to learn of Betty's passing. She was very close to the children at Lord Nelson, always willing to listen to their problems and fix them when she could. She worked very conscientiously and was a team player. She was well liked and respected by staff and students alike. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Popowich family. May you find peace in the wonderful memories you share of Betty and know she is at peace. - Posted by: Judy Hill (Lord Nelson School principal) on: Apr 19, 2013

I attended C.G.I.T. with her daughters at Kildonan United Church. I too grew up on Kingsbury. My deepest condolences to all family and friends. My mom passed April 6, 2012. It is so sad to see the passing of "the old neighborhood" family. - Posted by: Debbie Schmidt (Keeley) (Friend of daughters) on: Apr 06, 2013

My heart goes out to all the Popowich's (our city cousins). My Aunt Bett was a special Lady who always had time for us. She was a special lady who will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Lori & Bob Cuddy (neice & husband) on: Apr 06, 2013

We would like to express our condolences to my western cousins and their families. The passing of Aunt Betts brings memories of my youth, and the times we spent together. I remember her always having a reserved smile, and a quiet pearl of wisdom to share at just the right time. She was a real Lady, and she will truly be missed.
