PHILIP PATRICK NOONE July 20, 1957 - March 28, 2013 With profound sorrow, we announce the death of our beloved son, brother and uncle. Left to grieve his passing is his father Patrick Noone of Ireland, his sister Mary Gosling (David) of England, brother Brendan Noone (Debby), sister Patricia Narynski (Dennis), and many nieces and nephews. Philip was predeceased by his brother Henry and his mother Sarah. Philip was born in County Donegal, Ireland and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1960 settling in Winnipeg where he resided all his life. He attended Immaculate Conception School, St. Edward's School and R.B. Russell where he excelled in landscaping and woodworking. From an early age, he developed a great love for animals, which remained with him all his life. He especially loved his cats, Misty and Smokey. With his incredible attention to detail, he assembled many models of cars that he gave away as gifts. Philip was much respected for his volunteering first at the Heart and Stroke Foundation and more recently at Winnipeg Harvest where he was recognized as Volunteer of the Month in 2011. He was acknowledged for his "superhero like qualities, including a great attitude, an awesome work ethic and an amazing attention to detail". He made friends easily and was well liked by everyone he met and will be best remembered for his gentle nature. Philip saw the good in everyone never criticizing or judging. He was very sensitive to the needs of others and it was not uncommon for him to share what he had even when it caused him personal hardship. He was a role model for his family and those who were fortunate to have known him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main Street, West St. Paul. Reverend Monsignor Louis McCloskey officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Brendan Noone, Michael Noone, Ryan Narynski, Dwayne and Kyle Rewniak and Phillip Paskaruk. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Winnipeg Harvest. God saw you getting weary The hill too steep to climb He put His arms around you and whispered, "Peace be thine". 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My Uncle was a great man. I learned humility and kindness and service to his community. The most committed volunteer I've ever met. He definitely loved his cats and music and movies. He did not have an easy life but he chose to give back by volunteering. I love him and miss him greatly. - Posted by: Ryan (Nephew ) on: Jul 23, 2022
