JEANNETTE GISELLE MARIE DUFAULT (née BOHEMIER) December 27, 1946 - March 31, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jeannette Giselle Marie Dufault (née Bohémier): mother, sister and grandmother on March 31, 2013 at the age of 66. Jeannette is survived by her three children: Serge (Lisa) Dufault, Philippe (Kara) Dufault, Michelle (Duval) Link, and her five grand-children: Adrien, Arienna, Aidan, Aaron, and Calista. She also leaves her five brothers and sisters: Lucille (Ernie), Michelle (Pierre), Albert (Gisèle), Gérald (Denise) and Jean (Katherine), numerous other family members, and many friends. Jeannette was predeceased by her parents Gertrude (née Forest) and Jean-Emile Bohémier, and her husband Eugène Dufault. At the age of 39 Jeannette suffered an unfortunate illness that resulted in permanent brain damage. She lived as a patient at the Foyer Valade for her remaining years. Her life prior to the illness was that of a loving wife and devoted caring mother to her three young children. Jeannette was known for her kindness and gentleness; never having an unkind word to say of anyone. Her joy and love of life inspired those who knew her. Jeannette lived her younger life on the farm in La Broquerie, and being the eldest of the family she helped out a lot on the family farm; while also enjoying playing outdoors with her younger siblings. She was furthermore an extremely talented musician who played accordion and piano in the band, The Prairie Ramblers.' In her married years, Jeannette worked in the tourism industry, and was always appreciated by the public for her hard work and exceptional customer service. The family thanks the 2nd floor staff at Foyer Valade (ActionMarguerite) for their many years of compassionate care. The celebration of her life is to be held on April 9, 2013 at 14:00 hrs at the St. Norbert Parish. A reception will directly follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannette's memory to ActionMarguerite St. Vital.

  • Although it has been many years since I've seen Jeannette, it is with fondness that I remember our childhood interactions and visits. I was one of the 4 Bohemier girls born within months, even days, of each other and as a result, this created a bond as we were growing up. During these most difficult times, I am remembering her brothers, sisters and children. Please accept my condolences and know that memories of Jeannette will always occupy some part of my heart. - Posted by: Yvette Bohemier Herold (Cousin) on: Apr 06, 2013
