GEORGE THOMAS GOOSEHEAD (GUIMOND) December 1, 1948 - April 3, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George (Chibull) Guimond after a lengthy battle with cancer, the fight he could not win. George was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Rosie Guimond, his siblings Marcel, Langford, Charlie, Kelvin, Joseph and Marilyn, and two stepsons Sheldon and Wesley. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 32 years Lena, his sons Richie, Chris, Christopher (Nicole), Dwayne, daughter Michelle (Norrie), Christine (Jordan); brother Glen (Mary), sister Noella (Bill), Thelma (Joe), Cookie (Percy) who he took as a sister; brothers in-law John and Marcel, 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Chibull was a hard working man. He loved his fishing, carpentry and just being in the bush. He was also a very caring and loving person, always giving and never asking for anything in return. He was very passionate about his music and guitars, compassionate as he always played at wakes. He was in a band with Percy Alexander, Joe Land, Pee-Wee Courchene, John Everette, Vincent Simard (from St-Raymond Quebec), Angus Mann and Norbert Guimond, along with the fiddle player Father Plamondon. They were called "The Troubadors". They played in concerts in Canada and the U.S. to build our church, he also played at Expo 67. Wake held at The Roman Catholic Church in Sagkeeng until Sunday, April 7, 2013. Funeral service on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Malachy and Father Augstine officiating. A special thank you to the hospital staff in Pine Falls that took extra care to keep George comfortable on his last days of life. His family here on earth was his number one priority, and now he's gone to be with other family in Heaven.
