HUBERT MUELLER 1931 - 2013 On April 7, 2013, Hubert Mueller, loving dad and grandpa, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Hubert was predeceased by his loving wife Alma Mueller in 2002, his father David and mother Ida. Hubert will be lovingly remembered by his eight children, Werner (Ingrid), Lori (Joe), Esther (Neil), Ruth (Gary), Edwin (Bonnie), Irene (Herman), Carl (Karen), Roland (Heather), as well as his 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, five brothers, many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Hubert was born in Kiesil, Romania, in 1931. Hubert, his parents, and five brothers immigrated to Canada from Germany on January 20, 1953, settling in Winnipeg, MB. Hubert married the love of his life Alma Hauesser on January 2, 1954. He quickly found employment at Powell Equipment where he worked as a welder for 20 years. Hubert and his family made Immanuel Pentecostal Church their home church which they faithfully attended. He was a skilled soccer player who won a National Championship with the Winnipeg team, Germania. At the age of 40, he achieved his dream of owning a farm by purchasing land near Marquette, MB, in 1971. He would establish a mixed grain and hog farm operation that he would successfully operate until 1992. After fulfilling his dream, Dad and Mom sold the farm moving back to Winnipeg to enjoy their retirement. He became an avid golfer during that time. Mom and dad would enjoy a trip back to Germany and several trips to San Diego to visit their daughter and family. Dad loved sports, history, and especially the word of God. Dad was a loving father who provided for his family and would have done anything for his children. He had a great sense of humour, was compassionate, wise and prayerful. We always knew that he would be there for us. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre T3 for the wonderful care that was given to Hubert in his last two years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Home of the Good Shepard Orphanage in Brazil. A private funeral will be held.
