ROBERT WILLIAM (BOB) HAY Peacefully, with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at The Portage and District General Hospital in Portage la Prairie, MB after a short battle with cancer, Robert William "Bob" Hay passed away at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gladys Hay (Thompson); parents George and Gladys Hay (Johnson); sister Mary Phelps (Hay); brothers Malcolm Hay and Donald Hay; daughter Donna Chopp (Hay); son-in-law Howard Wilkins. Left to treasure his memory are his loving family; children Joan Weisgerber of Estevan, SK; Don (Wanda) Hay of Lloydminster, SK; Margaret Wilkins of Winnipeg, MB; Diana (Roger) Chorney of Beausejour, MB; David Hay of Portage la Prairie, MB; Tom (Carol) Hay of Beausejour, MB; Dale (Nancy) Hay of Portage la Prairie, MB; Violet (Barry) Enns of Portage la Prairie, MB; and Frank (Joyce Vivier) Hay of Portage la Prairie, MB; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nephews, nieces and cousins, especially those from the Fredericton area with whom Dad enjoyed visiting and keeping in touch with. Funeral Service will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. led by Pastor Ray Willms. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Bob's memory to Royal Canadian Legion Branch #65, 275 Duke Ave., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0S5 or Central Plains CancerCare Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0K8.
