Bessie was my mom's best friend and as such like a second mom to me. She was a fantastic lady, full of life and love! I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with The Perkins - all those Christmas eves, New years dinners, Chinese food after a big win at Bingo! Shortly after Bessie moved to Ottawa, my mom (Joyce McPherson) and I went to Ottawa to visit Bessie. My mom knew it would be their last visit as travelling was getting too stressful for her. We had a wonderful time and Garth and Sheila were great hosts! My hope is that Bessie, Russ, Doug and Joyce are together again having a marvellous time like always! - Posted by: Candy Smith (friend) on: Apr 13, 2013
