Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERTINE MARGUERITE LANTHIER 1922 - 2013 Peacefully at Foyer Valade, Albertine Lanthier passed into the hands of the Lord on April 11, 2013. Albertine was predeceased by her daughters, Monique, Rita, Jeanette, husband Romain and granddaughter Amanda. She leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter Yvette Lanthier, sons Denis Lanthier and Rene Lanthier (Grace Parson), grandchildren Dr. Danielle DeSorcy, Jessica Lanthier, Robyn (Jason) Gray, Ryan (Chauntelle) Neyedly, Michelle (Mike) Long, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Albertine will be fondly remembered by her very special friends, all of whom she considered family; Lorne and Pauline Chambers and family, Evan Primus and Wanda Johnston of Edmonton, AB, Yvette and Don Stupak of Grande Pointe, MB. As a young adult, Albertine loved her work at the Taxation center and formed several life long friendships which she treasured. She married Romain in 1947, and soon began her family which became her "raison d'etre". Guided by her faith and the teachings of the Catholic church, she was selfless and tireless in her devotion to her family. It is with heavy hearts that we say "Adieu". Special thanks to the staff at Foyer Valade for their care and compassion. In accordance with Albertine's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Following the service Albertine's remains will be laid to rest in the family niche at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. We were neighbors for a good many years and were not aware of Albertine's passing and are very sorry to hear the news. We would have been there for the family if we had known. Sorry Evette, Dennis and Rene. Our deepest condolences to you all, as well as the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. - Posted by: Harry and Joanne Roussin (friends and neighbors) on: May 28, 2013

Sincerest regrets to Denis and family. I know how important Denis' Mom was in his life. He shared in caring about and for his Mom with his sister and brother and he has expressed to me how much she will be missed. My thoughts and support are with Denis and his family as they deal with this stressful time. - Posted by: Dirk Veenis (Family friend) on: Apr 17, 2013
