Because of Len, I learned how to skate and play Hockey. Because of Len, I have the job I have had for 16 years. He is the one that pointed out the ad in the paper. We met the Newmans 20 years ago when we moved in to our first home across the street from them. We quickly learned that Len was different and soon we became good friends. I would often see Len and my husband Steve outside swapping stories and having a good laugh as they chatted about cars, trucks etc. Our oldest daughter Crystal is disabled and uses an electric wheelchair for mobility. One of the things I admire most about Len is his ability to see past all the challenges and equipment my daughter has. He often said " Crystal is like everyone else in my eyes" Over the years Len often offered prayers and well wishes and would always ask "Hows Crystal doing" Len being a great neighbor always welcomed both our children Crystal and Cherisse to come play in their yard with his children. I took my daughter Crystal to visit Len a few ago and with a slight tear in his eye he said to her "you are my inspiration...I bet you didn't know that" We had a nice visit and once again Len showed us that Crystal was just Crystal in his eyes. Len truly is one of the most amazing people we have met. His love for his family and friends is admired by many. Len you will be sadly missed may you rest in paradise dear friend. We will always fondly remember you as Len from across the street. Love Steve & Cheryl Rondeau - Posted by: Steve & Cheryl Rondeau (Long time friend) on: Apr 19, 2013

If ever there was a friend on This Terrestrial sod it is Len. I watched and participated in The Newmans life For some time, and never have I seen a family that compares. The sweetness and love that is shown EVERYDAY within that home has stirred and shaped so many that passed through. You all are my inspiration, and I will miss Len more than I could ever hope to express. I am sorry for the loss here on earth that you have to suffer. Thank you for showing me what a home is meant to be, What a friend is to be, and how to love that overwhelms all understanding. I will miss you Len, my Buddy, my Brother in Christ. There are no Words I can use to ease your sadness. A mark of a great man is the work he's done with his family. Having taught all of you, one thing that i remember about all 3 of you were your manners. All of you were always acting kind and speaking kind no matter what situation you were in. That's the beautiful gift your mom and dad have given to you. God is smiling and embracing your dad. He's taking care of him now. He's taking care of you too. Many prayers will be asked to give you strength and comfort through your family and friends. Thinking of you. - Posted by: LynnPelland (Teacher) on: Apr 17, 2013

I will live everyday from here on out to continue to make you proud :) we are a strong family and through the good and bad we stick together! I miss you truly but feel your presence in my heart! Len will be missed by so many. He was an amazing Father who was always there for his children. He always had the right words to say, and had the gift and heart for helping others. He adored his Wife Christine very much. His Grand kids were very special to him and he always put a smile on their faces. Len had the most amazing sense of humor, and even in his last days he kept his sense of humor. Your memory will carry on in all our hearts. - Posted by: Cory Kettner () on: Apr 17, 2013

On behalf of myself and my family I offer our deepest condolences. I met Len while my son Jonah was sharing a room with him in the Rehab. Len was so kind to my son and so understanding, even though he was struggling with his own illness. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. Dear Bethany I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Krista called me on Monday to tell me your father had passed and read to me your beautiful passage posted on FACEBOOK. It brought tears to my eyes and a realization that you have grown up to be a beautiful, caring and strong young woman. I can only imagine how proud your DAD was of you. Please pass on my deepest sympathy to your MOM, brothers and sisters. I will be thinking of you during this difficult time. Bethany, keep making your DAD proud as this will be a tribute to his great accomplishments as your father. Take care Bethany. My dad was the most strongest, funniest, loving man that any daughter could have asked for. I respected him more than anyone in this world and went to him for everything. He made me the strong woman I am today. I will miss him everyday but that won't stop me from looking up and talking to him whenever I need to as I know he's looking down on us. I love you daddy forever and always:) - Posted by: Crystal (Daughter) on: Apr 17, 2013

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. Len was buddies with my brother and through everything Len still had a compassionate heart towards my brother. Although we butted heads many times I thank Len for showing me true love for his wife and through this it has brought my heart back to God. This is the last bible verse my brother had for me. Isaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak. Love you Leonard David Newman Bloye - Posted by: Lori Bloye (Sister) on: Apr 16, 2013

If there ever was a father who was dedicated to his family it was Len. He was a proud grandfather and supportive husband. Never one to deny his faults he proudly shared his life lessons with humour and reflection always outing his faith in God helping us with our own faith. - Posted by: K () on: Apr 16, 2013
