Our family would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Bev, Jeff (Katie), Alison & partner Rob, and Jennifer. We were shocked and deeply saddened when we received the unthinkable news about Rick. In Rick's childhood years, he suffered from an illness of Rheumatic fever and it was touch and go that he would make a full recovery but to everyone's astonishment and of course, happiness, he defied the odds. In a short reflection of his past, he was somewhat different from us. For example He had run-ins with the the law enforcement on a halloween night when he along with his buddies over-turned a few Crown owned mail boxes. His dad was not very pleased with stunt nor about the visit. Being on the farm, we had a lot of harrowing experiences such as racing the grain trucks down dirt roads, chariot racing with make shift chariots made from front axles of an old wagon and one should have seen the dirt fly when the chariot became unhooked from the tractor. He was a lot of laughs and Bev, you should remember the VW with a huge hole on the passenger side and every time it rained, you would get thoroughly soaked and to this day we would not know if was a deliberate accident or rather to find out strength of your love and devotion for him. There were many more but enough for now. In closing, Rick will not only be missed by you and your family but by all who had the pleasure of his, at times, unusual antics Due to travel circumstances, Jennie and I would not be able to attend Rick's remembrance with you and the family. God be with you and give you much needed strength to pull you through this shocking event. Love, Jennie, Ron & family - Posted by: Ron / Jennie Bueckert (Brother / brother-in-law) on: Apr 17, 2013
