Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREVA ETTA LITMAN The family of Reva Etta Litman (nee Standil) is saddened to announce her passing on April 14, 2013 at The Simkin Centre with her daughter by her side. Predeceased by her parents Anna and David Standil, she is survived by her husband Jerry, son Stephen, daughter Shelley (Dennis), brother Dr. Sidney Standil (Adele) and their family, Larry Litman (Faye) and their family. Reva was born in Winnipeg on April 30, 1934. Wadena, SK was the family home until they moved to Winnipeg where Reva attended William Whyte School, St. John's Tec and the University of Manitoba. Reva and Jerry were married on January 29, 1956 and moved to Kenora, ON where Jerry had established his dental practice. Busy with a young family, Reva was also very active in the Kenora community as a member of the Kenora Kinettes and volunteered at ARC Industries and the Kin Valley school. The family moved back to Winnipeg in 1979 where they re-established their home. Reva thrived by being closer to family and also enjoyed attending the symphony, ballet and theatre. She found great fulfillment and joy as an active volunteer and instructor in the ESL program where she made many dear and lasting friendships. A wonderful wife, mother, sister, homemaker and friend, Reva's most memorable quality was her absolute devotion to the people in her life. Reva always put other's needs ahead of her own. The family would like to thank Dr. Erin Dean and her team, the nurses and staff of WRS5 Women's Hospital, The Simkin Centre, our wonderful care givers Barb, Joan and Elizabeth and our many dear friends and neighbours who have supported us during this difficult time. A private graveside service was held at B'nai Abraham Cemetery April 16, 2013. Private shiva. In lieu of flowers or donations please engage in a random act of kindness in Reva's memory.

How saddened I was to read of Reva's passing. I have many fond memories of her, Jerry, Stephen and Shelley when they resided in Kenora. I am especially grateful to them for the love they extended to my grandmother, Lilly Paulsen. - Posted by: Meran Wilson (Kenora Acquaintence) on: Apr 29, 2013
