RONALD BARRY FINLAY With his immediate family by his side, former Winnipeger Ron Finlay passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Ron was the first born of Hazel and Harold Finlay (both deceased) on June 4, 1938 and is survived by his wife Beryl; son David (Wendy) and grandchildren Drake and Jensen; son Bob (Melissa) and grandchildren Beckett and Eden, and sister-in-law Helen (the late John Noble) of England. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Cathy) of Winnipeg and his sons Chris (Tish) of Arizona and Craig (Laura) and daughter Maria (John) and their families all of Winnipeg. Ron left Winnipeg in the fall of 1961 for England after graduating mechanical engineering at the University of Manitoba. He returned to Canada in the fall of 1965 with a masters degree from the University of Birmingham and a wife. They lived in the Toronto area until his demise. A memorial service was held in Burlington, Ontario, Friday, April 19, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated.
