Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRI JOSEPH PIERRE MORISSETTE August 1, 1930 April 11, 2013 Peacefully in his sleep at the Tache Centre Personal Care Home, Henri passed away on April 11, 2013 at the age of 82. Henri was born in Dunrea, MB on August 1, 1930, the ninth of 10 children born to Albert and Ernestine Morissette. He lived for several years in Dunrea before moving with his family to St. Leonard-d'Aston, PQ, where in 1951 he enlisted in the army and served his country in the Korean War. After the war he settled in southern Ontario where he was a machinist working in automobile manufacturing. He later moved to Winnipeg where he worked as a mechanic, chauffeur, landscaper and jack of all trades. In his later years he was happiest when he was puttering in his workshop, tinkering on his vintage car, or working in his garden tending his prized 14 foot high corn. Henri was predeceased by his parents and eight of his siblings. He is survived by his brother Charlie in Lively, ON, several sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff at Tache Centre (unit 4ABC) for their exceptional care, compassion (and patience) during Henri's stay there. Cremation has taken place, and as per Henri's wishes there will be no formal memorial service.
