MARGARET LILLEQUIST (nee MOAR) Peacefully on April 11, 2013 at Lions Manor Margaret passed away at the age of 98 years. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Gunnar, her son Leigh her parents Alex and Lillian Moar, her two sisters Clara and Gladys and her five brothers, Joseph, Gordon, Emerson, Lloyd and Howard. She will be missed by her son Guy Newman (Alice); grandchildren Denise (Mike) and David (Kelly) as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Auntie Margaret dearly. She leaves two great-grandchildren Kai and Livia. Margaret was born in Cloverdale MB and lived much of her life in Selkirk, retiring from the Selkirk Mental Health Centre in 1970. She then moved to Inwood, MB returning to Selkirk after the death of her husband. In her later years she travelled to Europe, the Orient and Alaska. Margaret had a big loving heart and touched many with her kindness. She faced life with hard work and a smile. Her house was always open to others. Her generosity knew no bounds. She will be remembered for her stories and great sense of humour. We are sad she is gone but happy she is finally free. Thank you to all the staff of Lions Manor, second floor PCC who provided such wonderful care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cloverdale United Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret's name to Heima Er Best (residential home for adults with disabilities), Box 1949, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0.
