GERARD (JERRY) CHAGNON November 22, 1924 - April 18, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerard (Jerry) Chagnon of Great Falls, MB on April 18, 2013 at Health Sciences Centre. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Margaret; children Paul, Cecile (Randy) Park, Leona, Ron, Roger, Kelly (Maryann); sister Lillian (Arthur) Hunchak, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Gerry (Jr.) in 2007, daughter-in-law Linda in 2010, grandson Justin Bruneau in 2012, his parents, Dora and Oscar of St. George, MB; brothers Victor, Hector, Fernand, Lucien, Romeo, and sister Annette Keith. Jerry worked in various jobs over the years and retired from the Pine Falls Paper Mill in 1989. He was a caring father who spent all of his time with his family. He loved the outdoors and in his younger years spent his free time repairing cars. In later years, he enjoyed playing cards and listening to Gospel music at the Pioneer Club in Lac Du Bonnet. A service of remembrance to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Notre-Dame Du-Laus Church in Powerview, MB with Father James Gray officiating. Cremation has taken place. Family interment to follow at a later date. A special thank you to all staff at Health Sciences Centre for their kind and dedicated care. If friends so desire, contributions may be made to a charity of choice. "For those you love don't go away. • Mr. Chagnon's love for his wife "Chew" and his family were immeasurable. He could make me smile with one of his quick witted remarks even on one of my worst days. He treated me like family and always liked to tease! I will always remember His kind heart and gentle soul which can never be replaced and he will be missed. Maggie, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time, may god bless you and give you strength. love Mary - Posted by: mary schwolman (family frienf) on: Apr 23, 2013
