My condolences to friends and family of Julia. I admired her for her strong, passionate and knowledgeable spirit as well as her determination to stand up for what she believed in. I always enjoyed conversations we shared be they at Folklorama or Belgian Club gatherings or at funerals of mutual acquaintances. She was a very well spoken and polite lady. Julia had a strong faith and she had a deep love and was so very proud of her heritage. As a country girl who moved to the city myself, I always had an at-home feeling when talking with her. I am glad to have had small snippets of time shared with her. God bless you Julia. - Posted by: Christine Kist (Van Cauwenberghe) () on: May 05, 2013

Adeline and I, with Julia and others, shared the experience of studying the spirituality of St. John of the Cross, sponsored by the Alpha & Omega Christian community. This community included co-founders Reverend Neil and Gory Parado. Heavenly Father, we pray that Julia has attained Divine union in Heaven as she studied the Dark Night of the Soul with us to attain Divine Union on earth. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of His blood, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever, Amen. - Posted by: Adeline and Leonard Schmidt (Friends and Colleagues) on: May 03, 2013
