DANNY TIM SUTYLA
Date of Passing: Apr 27, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANNY TIM SUTYLA It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Danny Tim Sutyla on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Danny leaves to mourn his parents Leo and Maryann; brother Roger (Charlotte); nephew Chris (Elora); niece Amanda, and many extended family and friends. Danny was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Nelly Sutyla. Danny was born in Winnipeg, MB, August 13, 1963. As a young boy Danny was a student at Inkster School and continued his education at Happy Thought School in East Selkirk, MB, he went on to complete his schooling at Selkirk Comprehensive, where he fulfilled his passion for arts. As a child Danny spent many hours drawing his favourite characters just as they would appear in television and comic books. As a young man Danny worked alongside his dad in the family business (Sutyla Enterprises), for 11 years. He also enjoyed commercial fishing in Gimli, MB, where he fished for several years with his extended family. His home and life was in Gimli, MB where he loved to spend all his free time. He eventually found his true calling, trucking. His love for driving truck was evident when he regularly shared photos of his excursions and the jobs he worked on. One of his more recent endeavours was the time he spent in Churchill, MB. He couldn't hold back his excitement in sharing his memories of his up close and personal accounts with the polar bears while working with Nelson River Construction. Danny's other love was of course his Ford Mustang. Spring was his favourite time of year so he could finally untarp his baby and take her on the highway. Danny has always been the apple of his mother's eye, and enjoyed going home for family gatherings where he could catch up and enjoy a good meal, but also liked to head straight home after to catch one of his favourite movies. Danny had a unique ability to see the humour in his love for horror movies. After listening to him take a storyline which was designed to scare anyone, Danny would twist it and make you burst out laughing at any moment. He would catch you off guard with a simple phone call, and instead of saying "hello" he would quote a line from one of his favourite movies. Danny has been such a treasure to his immediate family and extended family and friends in Gimli, he will be sadly missed. The family would like to send a special thank you to Rick and Baldi, long-time friends, for their quick reaction and support, we are so very grateful. A celebration of Danny's life will take place on Tuesday, May 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice, in Danny's name. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathies go out to the family. Danny embodied so many great qualities. He was a very talented artist who inspired me very much as a child. He was kindhearted, always with a smile, and never too busy to take me for a terrifying skidoo ride during holiday visits to the family home. Danny , you will be remembered always fondly and sadly missed. - Posted by: Coral Pollock (family friend) on: May 05, 2013
