Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR PETER HAYDA November 19, 1950 - May 2, 2012 One year ago, today, my world was shattered. I ache for your hugs and touch and miss you so much. Your health was deteriorating and this was so hard for us, especially on you but you stayed as long as you could. We, the family we made together, knew we were on borrowed time but when you left us, we felt the pain and loss. We just have to keep remembering the extra years we had with you. You gave us your all, and for that we are thankful. We made plans for the future and hoped we could fulfill them. It was not to be. Your leaving left a large hole in our family from which we are struggling with to this day. Today is a day of reflection and thankfulness that you were my husband, a father, an Opa and a great Opa and that you got to see the grandchildren grow up and the arrival of our first great-granddaughter. You took your role in our family very seriously and taught us so much; to be self sufficient and be able to carry on. Family was so important to you and you did whatever you could do for us. Our son, who you spent so much time with, is a strong person and has the same strong love for his family. Our grandchildren speak of the many fun times with you and we all reminisce together about those times and have a good laugh. Although we lost you, we know you are at rest now and not a day goes by that I don't think about the great love I lost that day but I know that you will continue to be the love of my life and we will be together again. Your loving wife Linda, son Vic and family.
