Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE T. PENNER Annie T. Penner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at her home. She was born on February 3, 1931 to George and Aganetha Bergman of Neu Hoffnung. Her family moved to the North Thames School district where Annie received her education. She was baptized upon confession of her faith in 1950 by Bishop Wilhelm Falk and joined the Bergfeld (EMMC) Church. This was the church she attended most of her life and served as a Sunday School and nursery teacher, choir member, and food committee member. She attended the Elim Bible School for three years in the 1950s. Annie married David T. Penner, on March 11, 1962, and became a mother to his five children. They farmed at Thames and Annie continued farming with her children after David passed away in May of 1973. In 1985 she moved to Altona and lived there until her death. She was predeceased by her husband, David T. Penner, her parents, George and Aganetha Bergman, her siblings Sarah (Ben Giesbrecht) Neudorf, and Jake Bergman as well as many Penner and Driedger in-laws. She is survived by four sons and one daughter. Bill and Verna Penner and their children: Kathleen, Gregory, and Karla. Larry and Linda Penner and their children: Darren and Jessica, (children Dreyden, Keira, and Lexton); David and Samantha (daughter Sheridan); Melissa, Carl and Amanda (daughter Jada), Cora, Colin, Austin, and Ravin. Cornie and Colleen Penner and their children: Rick, and Brayden. Dennis and Verna Penner and their children: Kristen, Michael, Jordana, and Alyssa. Dorothy and Dave Derksen and their children: Corey and Kendra, and Garth and Jessica, (children Nolan and Darci). She is also survived by sister Helen and Ron Zacharias, brothers Ben and Eva Bergman, Dave and Tina Bergman, John and Peggy Bergman, Abe and Helen Bergman, sister-in-law Betty Bergman, brother-in-law Abe Neudorf, and a number of Penner and Driedger in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews in the Bergman, Penner and Driedger families. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Altona E.M.M. Church with interment at the Bergfeld Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Greg Penner, Darren Penner, Rick Penner, Michael Penner, Corey Derksen, Garth Derksen. Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want."
