I met Sharon when she moved to Monreith Street. We were not close friends but there was something special about her. We lived just two houses away. She popped into my memories today and I decided to see if she was still in Winnipeg. I was sad to hear of her passing. It made me happy to see Lois's comments about Sharon. I moved from Winnipeg many years ago and lost touch with many friends. May Sharon rest in peace. - Posted by: Maureen Moore (Childhood friend and neighbour) on: May 13, 2015

I was very sad when I read of Sharon's passing. Sharon moved on to our street (Monreith) when she was five and I was four, so we've been friends for a very long time. As most know, she was very sick in the past few years and did not want to see people, even me, but growing up, we spent lots of time together. Although we did talk on the phone pretty often, I hadn't heard from her in the past couple of weeks, and I am very sorry about that. Whenever we spoke on the telehone, she always told me that she loved me before we hung up. She did not want any visitors and as her friend, I respected that and now it seems like I shouldn't have, but as you know, Sharon was very stubborn about it. I will miss her dearly and just wish that she had had a better life. Sharon, I will continue to think of you often and I will miss talking to you. I am so sorry to hear of Sharon's death. I would like to express my sympathy to the family. I remember when Sharon was born and new of the difficulties she had to bare all of her life. When she was very young I used to sew for Sharon and she loved to come and visit with John's mother. Sincerest condolences to all of her immediate family.
