ROSALIND ELEANOR MARTIN Eleanor passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, parents Paul and Phoebe Kusmire, son Thomas, daughter Donna, brother Robert, sisters Lorraine, Norma and Ora. Eleanor will be lovingly remembered by her son Alex, daughter-in-law, Patricia, son-in-law Ken Stepushyn, daughter-in-law Christine McNaughton, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters Darlene and Joyce, brothers-in-law Wallace Staflen, David Johnson, and James Sinclair, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born in Craik, SK, attended school in Estevan and trained as a nurse in St. Boniface Hospital, MB. As a RN she worked in California and Alaska. While a nurse at Deer Lodge Veterans Hospital in Winnipeg she met her husband-to-be, Alex Martin. They married and later moved to Inwood. They both worked for many years for the L.G.D. of Armstrong. Eleanor moved to Victoria to be with her daughter and family after her husband, Alex passed away. She had later returned to live close to her son Alex in Neepawa. Eleanor passed away after a short battle with pneumonia. A funeral service for Eleanor was held in the Roman Catholic Church in Neepawa on December 31, 2012. Interment followed at Inwood Catholic Cemetery.
