Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAN (JOHN) DEVRIES 1928 - 2013 Peacefully on May 5, 2013 at Riverview Health Centre, Jan (John) Devries passed away at the age of 84. Son of Arie and Adrianna Devries of Amsterdam who predeceased him, he was also predeceased by his brother-in-law Earle of Montreal. He is survived by his sister Dini of Montreal; proud dad of Eric (Doreen) and Arnold (Cathie), grandfather to Paul, Rob, Rhiane, Allison, Hillary, Natasha and Jillian, and great-grandfather to Hailey. Private family gathering will occur. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. I was his bus driver on the 83 bus for 3 years between 2008 and 2011. Jan quickly became my most favored passenger..after I retired we kept in contact for a short while until his passing.
