I just stumbled on this (7 years too late). I considered he and his older brother as good friends growing up in Winnipeg. I still remember one adventure we all had flying via student-stand-bye (Huh say the youngsters?) to Miami and then on to the Bahamas, leaving off a few dollars and our wits. So sorry for your loss!!! I just signed on to look up an old friend and found out he had passed away, what a shock. We played defence together for the West Kildonan Cougars peewee. We were also in a band and our big debut was a sock hop at Jefferson Junior High. He played bass and I sang. He was an awesome friend. - Posted by: Rick Tomanek (Friends,Teamates and band members 1964 to1967) on: May 21, 2015

My condolences to family and friends, I've known Dwain for a few years and he spoke highly for the love of his wife and children. I was saddened to hear about his passing. He was a great person who shared his experience, strength and hope with others to get through their difficulties.. xox - Posted by: Jay (friend) on: May 22, 2013
