JEAN KOROL April 25, 1930- May 8, 2013 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean Korol on May 8, 2013 at St. Boniface Hospital. Jean was predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Murdzak, her brother Walter and her sister Helen Stefanyshyn. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons. In Waterloo, ON Walter (Karen) and their children Holly (Satish), Ashley and Alana; in Edmonton, AB Joseph (Michelle) and his children Sandy (Rob), Dustin and Teagan (Ryan); cherished great-grandchildren Molly, Bowen, and Lilly; sister and best friend Carol Murdzak; niece Karen (Norman) Shakespeare, nephew Gregory (Kim) Stefanyshyn and their families; and several cousins. She is especially missed by her devoted Bichon and constant companion Sparky. Jean was born in St. Boniface, MB and lived her life in Winnipeg. She enjoyed life and meeting people. She will be forever remembered for her humour, kindness and generosity. The highlight of her life was her family whom she cherished with all her heart. Her greatest joy was when her family gathered together to celebrate birthdays, weddings, and other occasions. In recent years, her vacations to Jamaica and Las Vegas were very happy times. Jean had a great love for gardening, travel and outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her boys in their younger years. Jean retired from Motor Coach Industries in 1995. At Jean's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 6A Medicine at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice.
