Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I have such fond memories of my childhood and the times shared with Marion during our formative years. Sometimes it seems so long ago, and other times it seems like just yesterday. Although my heart is sad today, I am comforted in the belief that someday we will be reunited with all those who have passed on before us. Jim, my friend - May God fulfill His promise of comfort during this time of transition. And Marion, dear sister - I will see you at the great reunion. Love you both Your brother and friend Bob - Posted by: Bob Tuff (Brother) on: May 18, 2013

  • Jim and Marion lived on our Alley in Sandy Hook. We became friends shortly after moving in. We socialized with meals, games and golfing. After they moved to Niverville, we turned our visits into bed & breakfasts. We still enjoyed our games together, but most of all we enjoyed Marion's gourmet meals. After watching a cooking show she would duplicate the cuisine. Marion and I also did "show and tell" with our sewing projects. The quilted bag kept us up till 2:00 A.M. on one of our visits trying to figure out the pattern as we giggled together. We shared our curling interests and "Tiger" was our favorite. We loved to have Jim and Marion out to the Hook for sleep overs. We will always remember. - Posted by: Donna and Ken Chura (Friends) on: May 17, 2013

  • I met Marion and Jim when I sold them their home in Niverville and that was it....friends for life and beyond! Marion and I would go out golfing in Steinbach and make sure we did at least one trip a year to another golf course to have some laughs and great times. Look out when we came golfing. I think you could hear us laughing all the way around the course. She was one of my best friends and I miss her every day. Jim my heart goes out to you. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Marion and becoming friends was well blessed in this life. I am one of those blessed people. - Posted by: Nancy Harron (friend from Steinbach) (Friends) on: May 17, 2013

  • I was saddened to hear of Marion's untimely death. We golfed many, many times at Southwood, years ago. What a lovely person to be with. I remember her good company, her infectious smiles, and her great golf swing. Her life was well lived but far too short. My condolences to her husband James at this sad time. - Posted by: Catherine Lee (friend) on: May 16, 2013

  • Marion was so kind and loving. She made you feel like you were the most important person in a room full of people. Her laugh was contagious. We will miss her very much. Our thoughts are with Jim during this sad time. - Posted by: Lori Brown (family) on: May 15, 2013

  • I met Marion in the hallway at Red River College, and became friends with her that evening. We ended up in the same class. We always had a chuckle about how we met. Marion was truly gifted with her crafts, sewing, her work at the day program with seniors, and of course her gardens of beautiful blooms. I will always treasure our friendship. - Posted by: Gwen (Friend) on: May 14, 2013

  • Marion was my cousin but more than that she was my best friend and confidant. We grew up together and had a lot of fun and laughs over the years. Jim, Marion, Al and I would get together every weekend when we all lived in Regina and would play cards until the wee hours of the morning. We will always have fond memories of the times we shared together. We will miss her keen sense of humor and admire the strength of character with which she led her life. Our love goes out to Jim at this sad time.. - Posted by: Al and Joanne Rivard (Cousin) on: May 14, 2013

  • So sad to hear the news about Marion, she was a member of our golf group in Sandy Hook and I enjoyed playing with her on many different occasions. She played so well but always made everyone comfortable when their shots weren't as great as hers. A very humble person and a pleasure to have known. - Posted by: Arlene & Hal Krahn (Former Friends from Sandy Hook) on: May 14, 2013

  • Please accept our sincere condolences. We pray you are surrounded by family and friends in your time of grief. - Posted by: Grant & Barb MacDonald (friend) on: May 14, 2013
