KENNETH ALLEN LESPERANCE
Date of Passing: May 10, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH ALLEN LESPERANCE Kenneth Allen Lesperance passed away on May 10, 2013, at the age of 68, at his home. Ken is survived by his two sisters, Val (Lorne) Whittaker, and Bev (Derek) Devlin, as well as uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. Ken was born in Winnipeg and later moved to Vancouver where he worked as an Immigration Officer at the Vancouver Airport. He, later in life, moved back to Winnipeg and spent much of his time painting buildings as well as homes, and caring for our mother when she became ill. Ken had a wicked sense of humour and was always willing to help anyone in need. Ken's wish was to be cremated. There will be no formal funeral but we will celebrate his life at the Pony Corral, 400 Wilton St., Winnipeg on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. if family and friends would like to join us.

Sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Sincerest condolences to all family members who were close to Ken. I have fond memories of Ken from the family get-together at Brett & Penny's in the Spring of 2008. It was the first time I had seen Ken since we were considerably younger kids around 1950. Rest in peace Ken. - Posted by: RW (Bob) Lesperance (Second Cousin) on: May 15, 2013

Very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Didn't cross paths much in recent years but many fond memories from childhood. I always remember that he was the tallest man I knew when I was a kid and he was so much fun at family gatherings. - Posted by: Paul Grier (Cousin) on: May 15, 2013

So very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Lost touch with him many years ago, but when we lived in Emerson we were good friends with the whole family...my thoughts will be with you all on Friday. - Posted by: Judy (Morley) Meraw (Friend) on: May 15, 2013

Val and Bev & family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was shocked to hear that Kenny had passed on. I was living in Vancouver in the 70's/80's when he was there too and used to get together with Ken then. He took my friend and I to some pretty crazy places, like the Kubla Khan strip joint -- checking his immigrées! I'm not a beer drinker but if I was able to be at the Pony Corral on Friday, I'd hoist a glass to him and say thanks for the memories.
