RONALD GEORGE WILLS August 6, 1933 - May 11, 2013 Peacefully on May 11, 2013 at the Okanagan Hospice House in Kelowna, BC Ron Wills, beloved wife of Angie, passed away. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Angie; sons Maurice (Debbie), Jeffrey, and Michael; grandchildren, Tyler and Nicole; sister Marlene Kamphausen; sister Linda (Ron) Robertson, and brother Don (Colleen) Wills. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Myron Samycia, as well as numerous other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Ida Wills, and brother-in-law, Ted Kamphausen. Ron worked in the aircraft propeller industry for many years of his illustrious career. Throughout his life, the family resided in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver. Ron and Angie then retired to Kelowna, enjoying the beauty and weather of the Okanagan. Some of Ron's great passions were boating and camping. He also picked up downhill skiing later in life in the British Columbia area. Ron also immensely enjoyed his sports car and car club in retirement. He always had the welcome mat out for many friends. The family would like to thank the excellent staff at the Kelowna General Hospital and the Central Okanagan Hospice House. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements handled by Hanson's Funeral Chapel.

  • Ron had a wonderful zest for life. Many happy hours were spent boating on Lake of the Woods with him and his family or lazy afternoons aboard "La Ku Ku Rongie" at the Royal Manitoba Yacht Club.   • I lived beside the Wills for many years and they became family. Ron was always welcoming a friendly hello and made me feel like his own daughter. Having cared in a nursing profession to enjoying his conversation on a sunny day , he will hold many memories in my heart. I will miss him dearly.
